If you are the type that has to have the fastest of everything when it comes to your computer, your Ethernet card is here. Thecus has pulled the wraps off a blazingly fast new network card that is designed to work with the upcoming 10Gb Ethernet standard.
The card is called the C10GT and has dual cable connectivity and slips into a PCI Express slot on your mainboard. That dual cable connectivity covers you for both CX4 and SFP+ ports allowing the use of both fiber optic and copper cable on one card. The device is powered by the Tehuti Luxor TN3020-D processor.
The card supports multiple network protocols including IEEE 802.3ae, IEEE 802.3ak, and IEEE 802.1q VLAN. The full height card has to be installed into either an x4 or x 8 PCI Express slot and can be used inside some of the Thecus NAS devices to increase the network connectivity speed they offer.
